Is anyone being prescribed 900mg of Lyrica?
I was told it was too high of a dose by a neurologist.
I haven't found anyone posting that they are taking that much Lyrica.

i can only tell you what i take and that is 150 in the morn and 300 at night.

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: RTBPI - injured during a right cervical rib resection on 12/3/2008 for thoracic outlet syndrome. The doctor completely transected the lateral cord at C5-C6 Erb's pointe and the suprascapular nerve. Had a nerve repair done on 12/12/2008 to reattach the nerves. Did two years of OT. I have some issues with overuse issues with my left shoulder and also have come to find that my joints are hypermobile so I have instability in the joints which causes a lot of problems such as pressure and pain.

I am not sure how different lyrica and neurontin are, but I was taking 600 milligrams of neurontin 3 times a day - so it was about 1800 mg every day.
they did prescribe lyrica for me, i believe 300 mg 2-3 times a day but it was too expensive even with my insurance. but that was about 600-900 mg a day and my doctors didn't think anything of it.

no external rotation against gravity, can only go to 90 degree fwd flexion, no hand-to-mouth
1 surgery at age 14 (latissimus dorsi transfer). In 2004, at age 28 I was struck with Transverse Myelitis which paralyzed me from the chest down. I recovered movement to my right leg, but need a KAFO to walk on my left leg. I became an RN in 2008. - Location: Montreal, Qc, Canada

900mg/day is high, the usual maximum dose (for any reason for taking it, whether it be pain or seizures) should not exceed 600mg/day.

ps: I also take it, 450mg a day due to a spinal cord injury I have separate from my OBPI. I took Neurontin before, 3600mg a day and it was not working well anough after 3.5 years so switched. Been on Lyrica for about a year and a half now.
