Haven't been on here for a while. Good to see that you all are doing well. Can't believe Maia went back for the third time. Breaks my heart but it sounds as if Maia is doing soooo well. She is strong, just like her mother. Keep up the good work Maia!!! Logan is praying for you!! Oh, it's "patient controlled anesthesia" and I am super surprised that they allow a child to use this form of pain control. That's great! And a "pain service"- wow. We have learned, as nurses, that pain is the FIFTH vital sign we are to assess, it is important in the whole round scheme of healing. I really hope everything continues to go well for you guys! Sincerely, Natalie

So glad to hear all went well. I sent you a copy of the email from Dr. Nath regarding the splint. I am guessing that since he had some kids speaking up about the movement problem he should just change it to "cast" treatment after all, which is what he told us to do. Four weeks post surgery, sure hope things didn't get undone.

Get some rest and keep us posted. it is a lonnnnnggg 8 weeks.

Christy, kim and most importantly!! katie

Francine,
So glad that things went so well.
I just wanted to say that you are an amazing woman. In the midst of caring for your daughter post-op, you are still sharing info about bpi's to help others (i.e., PCA and hospital room info). Thank you once again for all that you do for this community. I don't know how you do it all, but I am so appreciative!!

Big hugs to you and Maia.
