my right arm
my right arm
I sustained my injury at birth 42 years ago. I have dealt with the pain all my life but it is getting increasingly worse. Working is becoming too hard, even just housework is exhaustingly painful, even in my good arm. Has anyone, especially in BC,been successful in obtaining disability with this impairment. I feel that my doctor doesn't take my compliants seriously enough.

Hi!
Great to see you on this board. I hardly ever come here, so it's lucky I caught you. You might want to try the adult obpi board. They can offer a lot of support.
Just a bit of quick information about me.
My name is erica. I am 28 years old. My right arm is affected, and it was a birth injury. I live in southern alberta. I am on disability, but was unable to get on it for my arm injury, I am on it for a differant reason. Feel free to contact me. You can email me at jelly300@yahoo.com
I would love to hear from you.

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

Hi Erica
Long time since I've seen you on the boards. I hope life is treating you good. WoW we've been on the boards for a long time and then there were only a few adults. Now there are so many more that have found us in cyberland.
