Last Day of Freedom

Post by AngelaW »

Well,I go in for surgery tomorrow morning so I'm enjoying my last day of freedom. It's very nice outside (in MN 60 degree weather in March is a heat wave)so I think I'll get a friend to take me out for some good coffee and enjoy the day.
I must say I'm looking forward to the results but not the surgery (results without the hard work, isn't that the american dream:)). I'm getting tired of the OR (I've been there over 20 times since the accident, no joke. One of the OR nurses even gave me a cute surgical hat to wear), but you gotta do what you gotta do. I just hope this surgery is successful so they don't have to fuse my shoulder in place.
I'm scheduled for tendon and muscle transfers in my right shoulder and orthopedics are also joining in to take the screws out of my right leg. We're not sure how hard all of this is going to be on my body so I hope the hospital stay isn't too long.
So once again I'm going to savour every moment of this wonderful day (with coffee) and I hope everyone else is also :)
