orthopadic surgeon vs. plastic surgeon???

My son, 5 yrs. old, with a ROBPI is being evaluated for secondary surgery. While going to a couple of Dr.s for opinions, I am having to discern their point of view. One is titled "Orthopedic Surgeon" and the other "Plastic Surgeon." What exactly is the difference between the two backgrounds when it comes to tendon transfer surgery for a shoulder? Can I even compare their viewpoints justly?

As for Dr Borschel he is the plastic surgeon and he does not do the shoulder surgery (at least for Maggies situation) he referred us to Dr Goldfarb (who does a clinic with Borschel), he is the ortho surgeon and he is the one that was going to do Maggies shoulder surgery. They are both out of Barnes Children Hospital in St Louis.
