Surgery
Re: Surgery
jjp... here are some pages that may be helpful if you are going to TCH for the end of October...
http://www.injurednewborn.com/maia/travel.html
http://www.injurednewborn.com/maia/tch.html
http://www.injurednewborn.com/maia/splints.html
http://www.injurednewborn.com/maia/dayofsurg.html
this will give you travel info(free airfare, hotel nubmers, etc.), pictures of TCH, pictures of the post surgical splints, and a page on what to expect on the day of surgery.
What surgery is planned and how old is your little one?

Re: Surgery
Nicholas is 3 years old. He's scheduled for the Mod Quad surgery.
Re: Surgery
We will keep Nicholas in our thoughts that week. I hope that his surgery is successful and that his recovery is easy. You might want to think about whether or not it's a good idea to show him pictures of what his splint will look like? Every child is different - some need to know and some don't. But the pictures are on my site if you want to.
