Is there any mods to ride a bike with the use of only one arm? I snowboard, skate board, wakeboard, surf, mountainbike, and i miss my motorbikes!!!

hi I like to ride also i have a 1800 goldwing and i been exloring air shifting. a friend owns a dirt bike shop and he baught a kit and he maid his bike an automaticbut i would love to go for a nice ride

hey what part of nova scotia are you from? Im in New Waterford, Cape Breton, its a small town by Sydney. i still ride my bike well, but i was lucky enough to have downward movement in my wrist to twist the throttle. i love working on bikes and completly restored my cbr that gave me the bpi, so if your close and wanted to rigg something up so you can ride i would be happy to lend a hand. Sure, it's easy to modify a motorbike... it just depends on what arm you're missing. Me, I have a paralysed right arm, so everything's on the left.

Basically the bits go on the bar:

hydraulic clutch used as a brake lever
clutch lever
switch gear
push / pull throttle unit mounted with the cables reversed

The top lever is the brake, the bottom lever is the clutch.

I tried a Rekluse auto-clutch kit on my DRZ, and just couldn't get the hang of it - can't teach an old dog new tricks, I guess, but I have 2 handed friends who wear by them.

It takes a little getting used to, but once you do, it's not too hard. Enough people have ridden my YSR (small enough to be easy, and it's my old race bike so I don't care if it gets dropped) to prove to me that it's not that difficult, even for people afflicted with 2 arms )

I have two bikes i adapted to ride. I am left tbpi my arm is totally flail. I shove it in my pocket. On Both bikes I have moved the clutch to the right and I control both the clutch and throttle with my right hand. One bike is cable operated clutch so it was a breeze I just flipped the mount over and mounted it on the right. Recently I bought a Can Am Spyder it has two wheels up front. The brakes are controled from one foot pedal. It has power assist steering and power assist hydraulic clutch. I had to source a right hand radial master cylinder to move the clutch lever but I own a motorcycle shop so i called up my friends at Brembo and we got a unit that works perfect. I am much more comfortable on the 3 wheel bike than i am on my other bike so i ride it the most. Its about 4 months old and just turned 7000 miles. Its great to be in the wind again.
