I have been using this mind/body technique for pain for the last eight months or so. I have also taught over 90 people the technique to date. It's been pretty amazing.
It is called EFT Emotional Freedom Technique... some refer to it as psychological acupuncture because you use the meridians to do the work. It is very easy to learn and works immediately - you don't have to wait for the result.
I used it on myself this last few days while being hospitalized. I have a gREAT fear if IV's and needles from an experience two years ago and I did EFT in my car on the way to the hospital and it worked so well that the nurses were awestruck. They knew they were hurting me and I didn't even as much as flinch.
It's something to look into. http://www.emofree.com
you can print the manual for it for free right off the web.
I can talk you through your first few sessions.
I have taught two adults with bpi how to do this technique and they have had positive results.

It's NOT hokey baloney - it really works

Pain relief mind/body technique
Re: Pain relief mind/body technique
I posted this on another thread but it does work...
As many know I hit the wall with bpi arm several months ago and really hurt my unaffected side... The scapular on the left (non bpi side) feels as if I have constant e-stim going... it was really bad in the beginning and after months of therapy... the other parts of the injury feel better... but I still have to put up with the feeling as if someone put e-stim on my wing... I call it zing in the wing...lol
Francine taught me how to do this... I found this very useful and I have one point on my face if I tap there... it stops... until next event... maybe it will go away... but it sure helps... it is not that the feeling is painful but it is very annoying and can make you very cranky...
If any of you have had e-stim you know how annoying it would be to have that constant feeling... Try it you have nothing to loose...

Re: Pain relief mind/body technique
Non BPI, but I get migraines, and have for 25 years. I'm searching for therapies that don't include taking medication. Would this help? I went to the websites, but didn't find anything that said HOW to do it, unless we bought several videos.
