Hello I haven't been on here in a while but I do have a question. My son was just introduce with the E-Steam.
We were told he should keep it on for 20 min's per day.
I can only get a few min's and then he cries to take it off.Has anyone who use this seen a change in there child and what kind of change was it.We ues it for his blade to help keep it from sticking out.

Heather,
are you trying to build up to 20 min. a day? Maybe if you used it for just a few minutes daily and tried to build up to the ful time? When my son was 2, we used it for his triceps. We only used it for about 6 months. I don't think we could see any real difference. It has been 9 years, so I don't remember very well. I put it on me to see what he was feeling and it was a very intense pain, now I know why he didn't like it.

Electrical stimulation (e-stim) can really work if it's done correctly and it does not have to be painful - there are a lot of things in play here.... (1) type of machine (2) type of electrodes (3) how the settings are done (4) type of exercises (5) whether or not you have a therapist who really does this a LOT and knows how to make it work well for your child.
It's not easy to find a person like this - it took me 10 years to find someone who knows enough about e-stim to make it work well. If your therapist wants to contact her have her email me at francine@litzfamily.com.

You maybe turning it up to high or if there is a short in the wire it is very painful Frankie got a blister from a wire that was no good and the therapist didn't know till she removed it. We did E stim for years and the key was to keep him busy while it was on he had toys that he only got to play with during e stim time and this really worked great. Mare
