My son Josh (he's 5)gets the croup all the time. Its awful. I'm told he'll grow out of it, let see. He had it bad once that his lips turned blue because he couldnt breath--we went to the ER. He always has a bad cough this time of the year and pretty much last till the spring. He has had the nebulizer because of breathing problems. I also find the drs are now help. The one said, dont worry he'll grow out of it. WHEN!!

I had the croup until I was ten years old... then they said I out grew it...

Not...
I still get that very same feeling and have to go into the shower to ease my breathing... I really suffer and just can't breath if I am near anyone with pipe or cigar... also if wood burns in the stove/fireplace.... the rest of the time the inhaler helps... everything settled in my chest I think they renamed it pharangitis for adults... not sure how to spell it.. but I totally loose my voice and can't speak...

I very rarely get a cold anymore... don't know why but when I do... its right down into my chest....

Hi. My son who is ROBP also has severe asthma. He is 7
years old, and he still gets croup so bad. He also has bad coughing spells whenever he gets sick.
