Jameson had the "Lizi" and it was very successful. Here are before and after pictures:

I really think Dr. Vincent is a Gem of a Doctor. I have never met a more caring and intelligent man. I would trust him completely. Jameson had a pretty easy time but I wouldn't suggest this surgery for a young child...I think they need to know what they are getting into...there are a lot of frustrations that go with it. By the time 6 months had passed Jameson was ready to climb the wall...he wanted it to be over. People stare. I have seen other people's pictures and I think Dr. Vincent does it in a WAY better way than others. I would feel most comfortable doing it as close to home as possible. You have to go to the drs. Office alot.

Yikes I just went and saw the pictures of the ilizarov on Dr. Nath's pages....yike, yikes....I would definitely call Dr. Vincent...that thing looks worse than the method Vincent uses. Vincent uses the Italian method...much easier to sleep and live in. I don't like the looks of the cage thing.

I chose not to pursue this surgery.

However, I was fascinated and inspired by this article's view of the process from the point of view of the creativity of it all:

I judged that the risks and after effects outweighed the benefit. I returned to dealing with my problems in other ways.
