Need some info for my daycare provider

Post by nbkb1lo »

Hi !! Anyone who can direct me to a website that would detail a list of things not to do to a BPI toddler for example no pulling or tugging at the effected arm etc...etc... I am trying to get some info together for my son's new caregiver so that they are more aware of the injury...Thanks guys !!!!

Don't put them in day care. That'll solve it.

Every child's injury is different, so there are no set-fast rules for this.

Your best bet is to make a list yourself of what you know your child CANNOT do by himself, CAN do, and WHAT NOT to do by them (teachers).

Make it in point form, type it up in bold and hand it to them and go over it with them to make sure they actually read it and understand it. That way they can ask you questions about it as well.

maybe under the BPI Info Business card

this is mostly for older kids..

Nope.. never found any more, but there may be.

I ued to teach nursery school (3 yo) and Pre-School (4 yo). The best thing parents did was what you've done. Make it simple yet detailed enough.

Have your pediatrician or BPI Specialist make that list for you on their letterhead. That would probably carry some weight and then if you find websites that you want to share with them, you can attach them, too.
