Tizanidine

Post by Janelle54 »

I have the worst experiences with excruciating pain and spasms. Mike & I went to MGH ER only to be told I’m “Special Case”. They called Dr. Eskandar, my neurosurgeon, he could see me now. He told me his plans are in process but he really couldn’t do anything for me now. Go to the Pain Management Center.

We went to them. “Come back at 1:00 Dr. Ahmed will be back then”. (Did I say we left the home at 6:00?) Dr. Ahmed told me to continue to increase the dosage of Tizanidine after I told him that I was in the process doing that.

I can now say that increasing Tizanidine and staying on Baleen is working. The pain and spasms have decreased dramatically. I’m taking less Dilaudid each day. My head is a little drug hazy. I’m hoping as my system gets used to the drugs the haze will pass. It has before with other drugs. I just thought I’d pass on something that actually worked, at least for me.

I tried the Tizanidine for back spasms i was having in my upper should. I am not sure if it worked or not. I am also on xanax for anxiety (.5-1mg as needed) and it seems if i mix these two things get crazy. I pass out and sleep walk and sleep scream at people and then wake up 4-6 hours later with no memory of the incident. needless to stay i have stopped taking it.

Just passing along a warning that adding xanax to it may cause some unwanted side effects. good luck and i am glad it works for you.
