Flights to Mayo- FYI

I don't know if this is helpful to anyone else or not, but as we were preparing for our Sept trip to Mayo, I was pretty shocked to see how much tickets into Rochester had increased since our last trip in March (like more than doubled, and Minneapolis wasn't a whole lot better- at least for our originating airport). I did a little hunting and found that it is pretty cheap to fly into Milwauke (we're saving $1,100 on two tickets over flying into Rochester). From there it is a 4.5 hour drive to Rochester--- definitely not ideal, but worth it for us. I searched a few other cities around the country into Milwauke and they were all significantly cheaper than Rochester or Minneapolis. Just an FYI for those of you finding it hard to absorb the travel costs into your budget, like we are.

it is a lot closer than 4.5 hours from Milwaukee. I live an hour South of Milwaukee and our total drive from home is a little over 4 hours. So good news, it's about 3 hours north from Milwaukee. I have made 12 trips in the last 18 months. My husband says he can drive it blind folded. It is a very quiet and easy ride....................
