Hello,
Well we got surgery # 3 over with. My son, who is now 3 and half had the bicept lengthening surgery. He was also supposed to have an ancillary contracture release but we worked alot on that prior to surgery and he improved so much in that area that Dr. Shenaq said no need to do that. I was glad about that because otherwise he would be in a SOL type of splint again. (He had Mod Quad) and I hated that splint. He has a regular elbow extension splint on for 6 weeks. There were alot of bpi kids there when we were there.
TCH was great with my son. I had prepped him to listen to the nurses and doctors. Every doctor including anegisionists (SPelling????) introduced themselves to him and played with him before they took him away. He went with them so easily and did not cry at all. When I got to him in the recovery, he was very calm.
Sorry for the long post. Good Luck to all of those having surgery.

Glad to hear all went well, and that there was no need for the secondary procedure! My son had the biceps lengthening this past summer, and we are very pleased with the results! I hope you are all pleased as well when the cast comes off.
