No bicep!!!!!!!!!!
So I was told that my daughter doesnt have a bicep yet...Does anybody else have this situation with their child???
Re: No bicep!!!!!!!!!!
How old is your child? My daughter is 12 now and she never did regain her bicep. At 6 yrs old they moved her latissumus dorsi to her bicep so now she has some bicep function.
That being said every child is different and there still may be a chance your child will get their bicep without surgery.
If there is a little bit of muscle firing but not enough to fully contract the muscle there are things like e-stim (I believe it's e-stim so anybody feel free to correct me if I am wrong, it's be along time since we used any machine) that can help a little with building muscle. I am sure there are other things that can help as well.

Sorry I've been off the boards for a while. My son just turned one and had primary surgery at 3 months of age and we still have very little, if any, bicep. It takes time and it's frustrating. Hang in there! Have you seen a specialist?

Hi Tamara,
I checked your "profile" and saw that your daughter was born March 4...so now she is about 3 1/2 months old? We first saw Cole's bicep function (on his back) at 3 months and 7 days old. Where ever we went that "around 3 months for biceps" seemed to be kind of a predictor for recovery which also helps move forward with treatment plans. We are thinking of you.
PS CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH WHY MY POSTED DATES AND TIMES ARE WRONG? We did just get a new computer, maybe the internal clock was not set up correctly?
