Spasms

Post by Janelle54 »

Does anyone besides me deal with spasms? Please tell me any and everything you have done and/or are doing to help relive the spasms. I have mild to severe spasms most to all the time. I'm taking Baclofen 10 3x's, Methadone 10 mg 3x's, Lyrica 100 ng's 3 x's and Dilaudid 2 - 4 mg as needed. I wear a sling and go to therapy. A brace is in the process of being designed for me.
Thanks,
Janelle

You might want to try Zanaflex as well, it's stronger than Baclofen. You can take the 2 at the same time too. OR increase the Baclofen, 30mg is a very low dose, though it is not as effective for upper body spasms...

I'll talk to my Pain Specialist about Zanaflex. Thanks for the idea.

Any other ideas out there. I would really like to get off drugs completely if possible.

You should really give acupuncture and massage a try. I do both. Acupuncture 2x/week and massage every other week.
