Hi,
I was just wondering if any other moms out there were also injured from the traumatic birth of their child?
My tail bone was broken, (so I was informed), and I have a herniated disc quite low.
I have never felt the same since the birth of my 11 lb baby. Anyone else?
any moms injured also?

I have not felt the same since the birth of my 12 lb 3 oz baby either.
But I have not had any injuries like yours.
I hope you are ok.
I cannot explain,I just feel sore ever since.
I asked my new Gyn and he says everything is ok.
Maybe its all in my head?!?

coincidentally I had back surgery 7 months after my daughter was born...hmmmm...never had back problems before she was delivered...

Yep I was injured too....It eventually got better..It took about a year and a half to get over the symptoms.

I sometimes feel like I am 100 years old with my back problems, and I always ache all over. Never had migraines before either. Stress sure does add to physical ailments. I don't think any of this is in our heads, and thanks for letting me know I'm not alone.
When my baby was stuck I heard a woman "screaming", and realized it was me. I guess not only baby, but "us" also were in serious trouble, and some of us, lasting damage, (ie. ligament damage and who knows what else).
When they broke my tailbone I had trouble sitting for two years. Everyone probably wondered why I was always sqirming in my seat, lol!
Thanks ladies.

I have to wear pantyliners ever since.
But that I have not mentioned to my Gyn.
Kiegel exercises: I will try those.
My back hurts ever since as well.

Yes, here too. Besides receiving various forth degree tears with so many stitches the nurse stopped counting, I have yet to regain the sensations that tell me I have to go number 1, and my entire left leg goes tingly numb off and on. All of which doctors can't pin point and fix. It's been six months and no change.

okay, that's what I have also. Perineum (sp) numbness!!! I loose feeling in that region also, and it's to varying degrees.
