I recently had a knee surgery to repair a torn ACL and I was put on crutches for my recovery. I had no pain from using them, but one morning I woke up and my left arm was in pain. It hurt from the middle of my bicep (about 3-4 inches up from my elbow socket) all the way through the top of my shoulder. I thought it was nothing andd that it would gt better by itself, but two and a half weeks later it is still getting worse everyday. My doctor said that he couldn't do anything about it so he gave me an arthritis med called Bextra. I have an appointment with an orthopedist next week. I can't even turn my neck wothout pain now, and no position is very comfortable for it. Does an MRI show whether or not the damage is BPI? Does this sound like it might be or am I just jumping to conclusions? I would appreciate any comments or help on the matter. Thanks.
could this be a BPI?

Hiya
Sounds like you might have compressed a nerve in the armpit...its a fairly common thing when crutches aren't used properly. An EMG (nerve conduction test) would be a good idea to start with. Hope this helps a bit.
