Need some kinda help

I had neuro surgeries 7 all together two last month. First one they monitored my arms and hour be4 the 6 hour surgery left arm went to 0%. When i woke i had no control over it. I now have control but its totally numb from finger tips to shoulder and there is a real bad pain at top of shoulder. when i cough it hurts really bad. I m typing with only three fingers cause of hands and arms. The left arm is from finger tips to elbow. Im unable top drive cause of not being able to feel what im holding. Doctor has me in rehab and 900 mg of neurontin. I had surgery in new york but im from Ohio. He said it will be like this from 3 to 6 months. I hate this feeling its like there totally useless hands. What kinds of treatments other than waiting or is it best to wait it out?

Bless your heart--I know some of the things you are going thru. I had a surgery to remove lymph nodes near my collarbone in January 2002 and I am still in pain. The pain you described from the top of your shoulder is really bad and keeps me awake every night if I don't take something.
My docs all say the same thing---only time will tell. I have regained some of my feeling over the past 8 months, but they have no way to know if I will completely recover. I take Neurontin also.
I have lost my car, my job and I'm about to lose my health insurance. I want to return to work, but I'm still in rehab.
