Thank You

I have never posted here, but have been "lurking" for quite some time. This site has provided me with essential information when I could not find it elsewhere. My daughter was injured in November, 2006, just after her 13th birthday. She was at gymnastics, practicing a high level skill on vault, and ended up falling on her head. Initially, we did not know the extent of her injuries (later found out it was a stretch injury to the brachial plexus, and c-7 palsy), but she did lose the use of her left arm. I am writing today, 18 months and one surgery post accident, to say that because of this site we tried pool therapy...brought her to mayo...have been diligent with exercises and have not given up....and on April 16, 2008 - she raised her arm over her head on her own. She still has a long way to go with therapy and building strength but she is improving daily. She has not given up on her plan to return to competetive gymnastics someday. I know, and am thankful that she is one of the lucky ones. I wanted to say thank you to everyone that posts here - I've read most of them - I don't know if we would be where we are now without the information and knowledge I was able to obtain from this site.
