Fell/Is regression possible?

Post by Mary Beth »

Hello,

I'm wondering a few things, Yesterday I was walking down my porch steps (wet) and slipped and fell. as I was falling I grabbed the door reaching with my Bad arm which at this point I was able to get it up to waist high.

Since then the pain has been horrible and I can't get the arm up as high. Is it possible to have regression? The pain in the arm has been terrible. I do have a RTBP stretch injury w/Horner's c 5-8 has been affected from the injury. I see the doctor on may 15th. This stinks. I really felt some major improvement and now it's a step back. Has anyone ever had this happen??

Thanks for the input.

Mary Beth,

I have not personally had this happen to me. I am so sorry to hear that you fell.

I actually lost my balance and fell the other day too. I landed on my affected side and I was sore for a few days but nothing like that.

Have you gone to a doctor to get it looked at? I know it's hard because most doctors do not know a lot about our inury but what if you have fractured something?

I would go get it looked at just in case.

I sure hope you are feeling better soon.

Hang in there.

Hi Mary Beth,
Sorry to hear about your fall ! I would say yes, regression is very possible and you couldve also injured yourself without knowing the extent. Im glad you have a drs appt. though. Hope your pain eases up.

My son fell and broke his bpi arm, he didnt feel any pain, got to the ER and after x-rays, the dr asked him again if he was sure he didnt need anything for pain and James said yes, Im sure, showed us the x rays and sure enough it was broke. The only way he knew something was wrong was he heard a very loud pop.

Keep us updated. Feel better soon !
