aaaah - thanks - went in there and found the 3 pictures but the only one with an email link was dean warner - the racer (I did email him)

do you have emails for the skateboarder?

thanks for your help jenny

I also go to read the stories in there and they are quite remarkable. I only know about what our kids go through - but to read about what you guys went through - well I'm sorry that these injuries happened to you all.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: January 1980 Yamaha RD200 vs 16 wheeler truck, result, 1 totally paralysed right arm. I was 21, now 54. I had no surgery, I don't regret this. Decided to totally ignore limitations (easily done aged 21) adapted very quickly to one handed life, got married, had 3 kids, worked- the effect of the injury on my life (once the pain stopped being constant) was minimal and now, aged 54, I very rarely even think of it, unless I bash it or it gets cold, then I wish I'd had it amputated :) Except for a steering knob on my car, I have no adaptations to help with life, mainly because I honestly don't think of myself as disabled and the only thing I can't do is peel potatoes, which is definitely a good thing.

theres a picture somewhere of a group of tbpis (ask liz where!) in the pub doing rom exercises together, does lifting a pint class as rom exercises?? lol.

also one about with me, dave, liz & jenny im happy for it to be put in outreach but if it was i think it would be nice to put in a link also to the tbpi site maybe alongside the picture?? so much work has gone into it as suggested by others some time ago it would be nice to give it the recognision it deserves.

cheers hazel

My heartiest congratulatons on the new website. I know firsthand how much work it is to put up and maintain a site. We'll try to put in a link to the site in the Awareness issue and it might fit in really well with a caption to a photo!
