Hope

Post by Joann (Virginia) »

I wanted to share my son's (Wes - age 15, ROBPI), music video. He and his friend wrote all the music, lyrics and choreographed the entire thing. He also played several of the instruments (and then mixed the recording)with his friend. In addition, he acted, helped film and edited the entire thing.

I am so inspired him! He doesn't let anything stand in his way.

Please let your kids know that they can do anything if they believe.

Hi Joann - wow it's been a LONG time since I saw you around here! I was not able to view the video - it had an invalid link. Could you post it again?

Show Wes this link
www.youtube.com/leftarmrecords - this is Matt Partons who is 23 now but has a LOBPI and is an active musician/singer/songwriter

Matt is going to be doing a benefit concert for BPI here in Fort Washington PA at the School of Rock. Maybe Wes can come and play in the concert? Maia is a drummer and will also be playing in the concert - I would love it if more folks with bpi joined in - it will be a GREAT celebration!!

http://www.brachialplexuspalsyfoundation.org - concert info is here

Hi Joann,

As Julia said it's been ages since we have heard from you. It is so nice to hear about Wes. Couldn't get into the site either.

Tell Wes hello from the McClune's and we are very proud of him.

Hugs, Karen

That was fantastic, coming from a mom with twin 16 year old boys who both play in a band and do the music thing.

Your Boy was Great and the video looked like it was done by real professionals. You must be one proud Mom!!

Bravo! and applause and Hats off to all of them.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.

My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!

I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".
There is NO SUCH THING AS A DUMB QUESTION.
