Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.

My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!

I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".

Hi to all the parents,

I posted this over on the adult section and was thinking this might be helpful for the kids, but just haven't posted here yet. I am also in the process of making a web site and online credit card billing available, so just a bit slow to get this out there.

Quick back ground, I evulsed all 5 of my nerves twenty years ago in a water ski racing accident when I was 18, so I basically have no use of my arm other than the bicep from a surgery. I have been very active athletically since, if I wanted to do it, I did, triathlons, water skiing, snow skiing, basketball, football, baseball, volleyball and many other sports. One thing that slowed me down originally was getting my arm secured to my body well enough, I was "lucky" enough to come up with a sling/wrap that worked very well for me all these years.

A few months ago, someone posted they were having a hard time securing their arm well enough to go running and what do people do. The insuing comments motivated me to go create a sling and also make it available to be built custom for each person. Which we did, I have made one for the person who originally posted the comments and three more are going out this week with another on order. They have all been for adults, but since they are custom built, I have no doubt we can build them for children. The sling is designed to completly secure the arm down so it does not move at all, or really becomes part of your body and allows you to move freely without worrying or thinking about the arm.

If there is an interest, please e-mail be at: danielbaldrich@yahoo.com and I can send you a few pictures of me wearing it. Like I said, hopefully I can get a web site up soon with the pictures and credit card ordering capabilities.
