I have the blues

Post by mommieinneed »

I dont know if it is because of the recent hysterectomy but I have done nothing but boohoo for the past couple of days.

It could also be because Maggie is about to turn 6 in a few weeks and I know she isnt my baby anymore. I have never gotten the OMG this is the day all hell broke loose but it has only been a year since I found these support groups.

I think finding these support groups has brought out some inner feelings that I kept locked away, which I think is a good thing.

Sorry about the boohoo post I just knew I had to post here where others knew what I was going through, Thanks

Leslie,

Just want to let you know that I'm thinking of you. Sounds as though recent times have been tough. I'm glad that we can be there for support. Talk about your feelings to family and friends. It is important.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.

My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!

I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".

I can't believe you didn't mention this on the phone the other day!! I am so sorry that you are feeling blue. You really have been hit so hard this past year with all the stuff going on in your life! I hope that things will pick up and that you can find joy in so many things that it will help you forget the pain of the past!
Blessings,

Leslie,

Spring is finally springing here in central illinois and maybe you will feel better soon. We all get down sometimes with this injury, I had my day last week:)

I didn't know about your hysterectomy... I hope you are feeling better soon. I got your message a couple of week ago,and I am sorry that I haven't called you back yet. crazy place around here lately, my husband was in the hospital all weekend, but is better now.

Hopefully we can get together this spring, I will be out of hibernation!!
