Hi to all...

Post by peanut »

Hello, I'm new to this!

Just been told i have TBPI by my consultant today and awaiting urgent referral to Neurology for some nerve conductive tests.
Just been familiarising myself with the condition.

Interested in talking to people and hearing their stories about the condition.

Hi,

My story is simple, I had a lump removed under my arm in dec. and due to the position of my arm it caused a BPI. I've been seeing a nuero. who has been great. my injury is a stretch injury and the nerves are healing my deltoid is what is affected and the upper trunk area. I had no pain the first few months now have pain. I now have begun to get range of motion back and I'm weak in arm but feel very optimistic my arm will return fully. I'm one of the lucky!!

I feel there are many many people on this site who have wisdom that is beyond belief, and are willing to help. Research and questions will be of your best friends.

good luck hope this helped a bit.

thanks Mary Beth! I hope this message finds you well.
I also feel one of the lucky ones from reading peoples extent of the condition.

i also was told the nerves have stretched but not alot of info about the extent of the condition was given as i was intially under a vascular surgeon, now been transferred to neurology for further tests.

There are some things i am unsure of such as treatment available as i was told "wait for it to heal", is this right?

i have no idea how my injury was caused either!

Claire
