I was hurt on the job over 3 years ago, and was wondering if anyone else had been hurt on the job also. I am having a heck of a time dealing with the workers comp claims and getting to the correct Dr's. My neurologist wants to send me to Boston, since he can't help me with the chronic pain anymore and the worker's comp company is dragging there heals.
Meanwhile I have become increasingly worse, with winging, migraines, neck, pain, numb fingers in my corresponding hand, jaw pain, etc, and I am not getting any younger. Please advise what anyone of you have dealt with and what would be my rights? I am of course not getting the answers or treatments I need from the hospital I work for! Thank you so very much.
new "kid" on the block!
Re: new "kid" on the block!
Sorry that II don't have a suggestion in regards to workers comp. With me, I used to pay into a disabilty ins at my job. My injury happened outside of work so I still got my pay.
I would discuss things with an attorney that specialized in workers comp.
In regards to hospitals, I would and did call the Mayo Clinic out in Minnesota. Yeah far but it helped alot. I called and faxed all the medical test results I they requested. An appt was made for some tests with them and had my surgery.
get better man, there's a whole world I locked out that I'm getting back.
I had my surgery Feb of 2006. I'm able to bend by elbow and also hold a weight of 2 pds(not much but better than before).
