BPI Benefit Concert - June 14th - 7:00 pm - Greater Philly area

School of Rock "Show Team" will play two sets of classic rock songs.
We have invited Matt Parsons singer/songwriter from the UK (LOBPI) to join us.
And we are putting a call out to musicians who have bpi to join in at the end for a jam.

(and Maia will be drumming for two songs - yay! - shameless plug)

This concert will not be appropriate for young children (under 7-8).

Monies collected will go to fund a series of workshops aimed to help heal post traumatic birth/stress issues - for mothers and fathers of children who have bpi.

We have a seating limit of 175 and hope that we fill the house!

That's great!
This will be Maia's 4th rock concert....her 3rd one will be May 9-10 and she'a playing drums to Mott the Hoople and David Bowie...and she'll be dressed all glam rock in sparkles, etc. Brings back memories from my own youth...

Tickets will go on sale next week. I am hoping that some people buy extra tickets to sponsor bpi families. Even if we get coverage for a few families that'll be great and we'll raffle them.

I'll post when the tickets sales will begin.

I'm working on getting sponsors who will donate sets of tickets to bpi families. If you are interested in coming to the concert but have financial issues - sign up on the site for the raffle and maybe you'll be gifted the tickets!

we shifted the focus of the concert to raising funds for music scholarships for children with bpi. We will gift music scholarship for new instruments, maintenance of current instruments and group and individual music education including voice. Maia- who is spearheading this concert felt very strongly that this is what she wanted to raise the money for because music has helped her tremendously. She wants every child to have access to music opportunities.
