Avulsion?

Post by brookepoague »

My son just underwent a nerve transfer at Cincinnati Children's. We learned that one set of nerves was an avulsion and so bad that it cannot be repaired. Another set was grafted.
Anyone else been in this situation and what was the outcome?

If this reply comes thru twice, I apologize. But my son now 2 has numerous avulsions. He has a Global LOBPI. He had primary surgery at 4 months of age and now has some deltoid, bicep, and tricep back and can flutter all 5 fingers too. For him, any recovery is good.
