hi all..had my nerve graft surgery on saturday; and just have to say im sick of trying to fall asleep on my back! give me a side or my stomach anyday! cant wait for this sling to come off either..

Shaunny! Try 60mg Tamazapam. I could never sleep on my back, ever. Even out in the field as a US Army Grunt I'd curl up to a nice cozy piece of dirt and sweet dreams....
Now it's the only way I sleep because of my shoulder. I hope it helps and I certainly hope your surgery does as well.

Thanks Scott. Great idea!. off to the doctor on Monday to get me some! fingers crossed this surgery works!

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: 28 years old with a right obstetrical brachial plexus injury. 5 surgeries to date with pretty decent results. Last surgery resolved years of pain in my right arm however, I am beginning my journey with overuse in my left arm

I understand the sleeping on your back thing! I usually sleep on my right side but my last surgery didnt let me do that for about 8 weeks, it was so annoying! I was waking up every hour or two most nights. I am not a back sleeper! I hope you are able to adjust better than I did! Good luck!
