I was reading the August, 2007 Reader's Digest, and there's a story titled "KID Courageous" by Juliet Papa. It's about a boy named Aidan Fraser who has a large tumor from neurofibromatosis type 1. In the story, it mentions (on page 144) Dr. Rick Abbott, pediatric neurosurgeon who led the group during the boy's surgery on his spine. It mentions that Dr. Abbott was working out of Children's Hospital at Montefiore and has been practicing for over 20 years. I wonder if this is the same Dr. Abbott on our medical resource website? Anyone know if Children's Hospital at Montefiore is affiliated with Beth Israel as that is where he lists he is affiliated with on his questionaire? His name just immediately jumped out at me while reading the article. Just thought I'd share. The article is a nice article and a lovely story for this young boy and mother.

Yes, that is the same Rick Abbot. He was already there when I contacted him in early 2005 for a second opinion on Joshua's MRI and the anterior capsule release recommended by Dr. Waters and Dr. Kozin.
