Cincinnati Children's Brachial Plexus Center is Hosting Conference

Cincinnati Children’s Brachial Plexus Center will be hosting its first Brachial Plexus Conference on June 15-16, 2007 at the Sabin Education Center at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

The first day of the conference is designed for physicians, nurses, and therapists. The purpose of this conference is to increase awareness and understanding of brachial plexus injuries. Dr. Alain Gilbert, a world-renowned expert on brachial plexus injuries, will offer insights from his vast experience treating brachial plexus patients.

In addition, participants will hear from brachial plexus specialists covering a variety of topics, including history, anatomy, imaging, obstetrics, therapy, and current treatment options. Clinical cases will be presented and a mock trial will be performed to demonstrate the legal issues surrounding the injury.

The second day of the conference is designed for parents of children with brachial plexus injuries and offers families information on a variety of topics. Dr. Alain Gilbert will be the keynote speaker. After the formal sessions, parents are invited to stay for an informal gathering to meet other parents of children with brachial plexus injuries. The cost for each family is $25.00 and scholarships are available.

is it worth while of going? could we get a transcript of the conference in any way dvd/vcr/tape/etc.
Also could give more info on Dr. Gilbert i see that evrey body is quoting him always in their studies.

I see that you are listed as leading the luncheon. I'll meet you there. I'm attending both days of the conference and bringing some information back to my hospital hopefully. My mother lives in Louisville, KY, so I'm flying in to visit with her prior to the conference since they're so close. Look forward to meeting you.
