Specialists in California

Post by joseph »

I am in desperate need of a good OBPI specialist in California. My son is now 9 months old and the dr. we are seeing is saying he doesn't need primary surgery. This might be the case but he has absolutely NO biceps in his left arm. I need a second opinion before time runs out. I need to know that I am doing the right thing for him. Please, if anyone can help it would be SO SO SO appreciated.

Breonna:
If you go to the medical resource page, we have docs listed by state. You didn't mention where in CA you are, but there are docs all over the place.

We paid out of pocket to see Pearl and friends at Kaiser in Los Angeles and were very pleased. Juliana was almost 7 at the time, so primary was hurdle we had already dealt with (surgery at 4.5 months).

Call everyone, get a bunch of opinions, don't stop at two or three if you are having doubts. Dr. Pearl was our fourth opinion (or was it 5th?) and he totally changed our view of the problem.

Good luck,
claudia

My son Eric is two and we are under the care of Pearl and Edgerton on West Los Angeles, its a good team, conservative, but good. Dr. Michelle James is with Shriners in Sacramento, Ca. I have never seen her, but hear she is good. Dr. Hentz with Stanford, we have seen him, conservative, but his good in the area of the hand. Hope this helps!!
