I am not tbpi but I know many of you have had your surgeries at Mayo. So I though I would ask a couple questions.
I just decided today after seeing my doctor that I am going through with a surgery but I will be switching my care from Shriners to Mayo while still seeing the same doctor. Anyway I am new to Mayo and was wondering if when I have my surgery can my mom stay with me? Or will she have to stay at a hotel? At Shriners they have a parent center which is just down the hall. Guessing Mayo doesnt have that!
Any advice?
Thanks,

Amy I haven't seen a parent center. Though I know we were treated very nicely and they would probably let her stay in your room for a night. There are 2(I think) hotels directly accross the street from St. Mary's hospital which I am assuming you will have the surgery at. That is where Dustin's surgery was. We will also be back there June 6&7 for tests and June 12 for surgery.
Pricilla and James will also be there June 12, we are looking forward to meeting them.

P.S. meant to post how wonderful you have some more options and good luck with it all.
