I went to see an ortho specialist here in San Antonio, TX. And he told me that he could probably release my contracture by pulling a muscle from my inner thigh and a nerve from underneath my rib cage and then putting them where my tricep should be. I turned to him because my insurance would not take Dr. Nath and they ( the insurance) sent me to this doctor. I have about a month to think about this procedure and he was also going to talk to an elbow specialist whom I have seen before.
As anyone heard of this before? I don't know the medical name for it. He also had me get an MRI of the whole brachial plexus region, and I was told I have injury in C6 C7 & TI (or 1) anyway I'm still trying to learn what all that means.
Thanks for hearing me out... I can't really explain to anyone this and even when I do tell my friends n family they don't understand.

Re: Some Hope
That sounds like a gracilis muscle transfer. Sorry I really dont know any thing about it. The tbpi people might be able to pitch in on this question I know thats a farily commonly suggested muscle to tranfer for them although I am not sure that it is used to regain triceps.
I wish you the best of luck though!!!
