My son who is 3yrs. old is tbpi on his right arm, At this point it looks like c3 through T1 are torn out, I think there is some thread left as he has involuntary movement in three fingers, that is all the movement we have seen. He was with a babysitter and while he was in a crosswalk a truck hit him. He suffered numerous other injuries, was in a coma and had to learn to eat, walk, talk ect.. again. this happened in july 06, so it is exactly 6mo. today. He is on his way to the mayo clinic for surgery jan. 17th for tests and the 18th for surgery. TK

Sorry I missed the roll call before. I've been on here since late October when we found out that our 18-yr-old son's LTBPI from a cycling accident was very serious and would probably need surgery. We are in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. There's a very good BPI surgeon here, but our son has chosen the Mayo clinic because they have so much more experience.

Yes i'm a lurker,
but this may break the ice for me,, i had a motorcycle accident on 23rd August 2006,TBPI right shoulder,, i have seen a dramatic improvement in most of my arm hand and finger funtion, no muscle left in the shoulder, can't move my arm away from my body as yet, but i live in hope,, the pain is constant but i guess these are the breaks,, i feel a bit of a fraud with my injury when i read about some of you really brave up beat people with injuries such as mine but to a greater degree, god bless you one and all, and god speed your recovery,, Regards Gordon, (Scotland)
