Hi,
I've reported on this throughout my LILT treatment and I am pleased to announce that I am now methadone free. I still do weekly laser treatments and the pain is not gone, but it dampened to the point where it is a mere annoyance rather than a huge pesence in my life. I sleep better, I'm off the dope which is much better for my mental facilities, and life is good.
It may not work for everyone, but it worked for me.

That's good to know it worked as I just started Laser therapy myself. I soon hope to be pain free like yourself.

Hi Tyson,
That's great. Let me know how you make out. I also found out that that there are two types of treatment. One is a more general light application, which I started with, and I hit a wall that I couldn't get past. I then switched to the other which is mor focussed and which has taken me here.

-dominant side C5, C6, & C7 avulsed. C8 & T1 stretched & crushed
BPI Related Surgeries:
-2 Intercostal nerves grafted to Biceps muscle,
-Free-Gracilis muscle transfer to Biceps Region innervated with 2 Intercostal nerves grafts.
-2 Sural nerves harvested from both Calves for nerve grafting.
-Partial Ulnar nerve grafted to Long Triceps.
-Uninjured C7 Hemi-Contralateral cross-over to Deltoid muscle.
-Wrist flexor tendon transfer to middle, ring, & pinky finger extensors.
Surgical medical facility:

(all surgeries successful)

Thanks for the update Henry. Great to read about your progress and being able to get of the methadone! That's no easy task... at least for me it wasn't. Mental clarity is underrated!
Keep us posted on your progress, and if possible let us know a bit more about the specifics of what type of LILT treatment you're receiving (you mentioned there are different types). I hope your pain can soon be only an irritating memory.

I'll put a comparison of the two laser therapies together and will post it.
Getting off the meth had its tough stages. I was going down 1 to 2 mg at a time every two weeks and then at 6mg a day, the withdrawals hit. I was jittery, sleepless, and then exhausted at the same time. It stayed that way until I hit 2 mg a day and then it slowed and stopped.
I hadn't fully realized how bad it all was until it stopped. The wet blanket has lifted from my life and I don't every want that back.

Hi All...Good to know that it is helpful. Does anyone have research articles about this treatment? I have asked my son's doctor about it but it seems to be something that chiropractors do rather than MDs. The insurance company won't pay for things that are considered experimental. Thanks, Michele

I went to France to Albert Bohbet clinic for laserponcture, it didn't make a real difference to my mobility,(I have full sensation and dont have nerve pain) however there was a lot of poeple there using it for their pain problems and some were very happy with the results.

Glad to hear this is working for you. I am wondering, how did you find out about this? What exactly does it do & how often are you having this done? Were your nerves, C5 through T1 avulsed?

That is wonderful, Henry! What a relief that must be. If anyone finds research studies that could be submitted to physicians and insurance companies showing outcomes of trials with this proceedure it would be helpful. My son's insurance is Worker's comp and they will not approve anything that is not verified. Also, it could hurt his claim if he did something his doctor did not approve of. I would like him to have an opportunity to give this method a try as his pain is severe and he is on large doses of morphine (side effects are terrible). Thanks, Michele
