YAY! Shower. My mom hasn't had one in 2 months and before that she had one then not been able to for another 2 months! 2 showers in 4 months! INSANE huh? She wasn't able to as long as she had stitches/open wound/packing/dressing... then with the PICC line it made it hard. Tomorrow she is having one, I will put a garbage bag over her arm and that's that! (it's what we did when i had one). She finally has no dressing so no more excuses not to.

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

Courtney,
Those photos look like pain big time. I'm sure glad you are feeling better and got to shower also.
Are you seeing or feeling any results from the surgery now that the infection is gone?
Keep us posted.
Have a happy new year!!
