Staybridge Suites ( www.staybridge.com ) is good with free DSL internet service in rooms, if you bring a lap top. And they have free breakfast as well. Rooms are clean and well set up with kitchen areas and it is right across the street from St. Mary's. Good luck Courtney!

Hi Court~~
When do you go again? I'm all set and ready to go on Nov 2nd for surgery Nov 3rd. Insurance is paying for it, yah!!! How do you get your stay for free? And do you know if any hotel shuttles that go to St Mary? My mom said she would drive there to see me but its been 12 yrs since my last surgery!!!! I'm staying an extra night at the hotel after surgery; its a 3 hr 40 min ride home.
Fill me in.

Most of the hotels in the Rochester area have shuttles that run frequently to St. Mary's. Mel was just there in May and we took the shuttle every day. It works out well. We stayed at the Kahler Inn and Suites but I know that most of the other hotels had the same shuttle service. Good luck!

Thanks for the info!!! I usually stayed in town and in Aug we stayed at the Radisson (very nice), I will call to see if their shuttle goes to St Mary Hosp so my husband doesn't have drive!
Court, staying with you WOULD be a bit nutty!!! But fun! You are one lucky lady to have everything paid for. I settled for a settlement after my accident. My father did a great job of investing it and after 19 yrs I still have some! College savings now for my 4 children. Thanks to God I married a loving, caring and giving man to pay for all of this for the past 12 yrs!!
Keep in touch....................whats your date again, Court? So I can say a prayer for you!!!!

I stayed at the Staybridge Suites when I had my surgeries at Mayo. The rooms are excellent and it is literally across the street, maybe 40 yards to the front doors of St. Mary's. You can get a room with a kitchenette(big fridge, stove, dishwasher, etc.). Right next door is the Canadian Honker. It's probably my least favorite place to eat in Rochester, a little off subject, but I always eat good when I go to Rochester, so food is the first thing that I think of whenever I hear Mayo Clinic.
