Hello everybody, it is me again, Andre. I'd just like to tell everyone that I am doing okay, and I finally got a job as a cashier in Office Depot.
My question is is it worth it to keep the healthcare plan I have which costs (according to my parents $230 a month) just so that I could have visits with my BPI doctor?
I am done with all of my surgeries and OD offers some cheaper healthcare plans for me.

If you didn't have to pay for one health plan you would need to pay for another right?? Or, would you be covered for much less and how would the plans differ on quality? These are a few of the many variables that need to be taken into account when deciding.

Sorry, I meant to add that you need to be sure when they will cover preexisting issues and how much they will cover. Research before changing.

How is your arm doing? What function do you have back? How is your pain? What sort of injury did you have?

NEVER let your health coverage lapse. So long as you keep continuous coverage (you can switch plans, just be covered) treatment for your injury will be covered under a "pre-existing condition" clause.
If you are asking about switching from your parents plan to your employer plan, that's tough. If you have a relationship with a doctor it's hard to give it up. You should check the other plan to see if they have reputable docs, or ask the current doc for a recommendation. The final option is to go out of network and pay the diffrence. Your company plan will probably cover around 80%.
