Dr. Peter Waters

Has anyone's child had surgery by Dr. Waters in Boston? We are scheduled for July, and as it gets closer I get more and more nervous...I would love to hear some other people's experiences with him and his staff

Wonderful doctor, great personality for both parents and the kids. His methods are excellent, and we have seen him for almost 9 years. My daughter had surgery at just under two years, and is doing well. As a parent I highly recommend Dr. Waters. He is open to any questions you may have and will not brush off any concerns you bring up. I hope everything goes well for you and your child.

My Daughter had surgery with Dr. Waters in February, she was only 10 months old. We traveled to many different doctors before deciding on Dr. Waters. We are not from Boston and had to fly every month to see him but it was worth it! Ashley is doing really well and our doctors and therapists back home could not believe how wonderful our results were. They had never had a patient go to Boston for treatment, but they said they will definitely recommend him after this! Please e-mail me with any questions. What day in July are you going? We see Dr. Waters also. My daughter is 4 years old and has had 3 surgeries and possible surgery no. 4. He is an excellent Doctor.

my child has seen him for almost 4 yrs. We saw about 5 bpi specialists her 1st yr of life and now just him. He has a great bedside manner and I would say he is somewhat conservative. My impression is that if he recommends surgery, your child really needs it.

My daughter has been seeing Dr Water since she was a newborn and she will be 5 years old in September. She had surgery with Dr Waters at the age of 2 years and 4 months old. He has never given me a single reason to doubt his wonderful ability to treat children with BPIs. I very, very much respect all of your opinions of Dr. Waters, and he does deserve such praise. I did explore Dr. Waters as a surgeon option for my own child, so I very much appreciate all that you have written. However, I wish to balance this praise for some parents, like myself, that may be income or insurance limited. The Shriners Hospital in Philly with Dr. Kozin offers very comparable service, yet at no cost and with a commitment to serve any child that "they can help" until that child is 18.

We used Dr. Waters for my daughter Dani's (6 yrs ROBPI)humeral osteotomy. He was great and so was his staff. His Nurse Paula was wonderful. Very caring and calming which I needed. We looked at all the Doctors and found them All to be great. It really came down to gut feelings and insurance. If you need any other info, please feel free to email me. -Dawn

Thanks everyone for the great (and fast!) feedback....I am so glad that everyone seems to like him and his staff...I really, really hope that our daughter will gain significant function with whichever procedure Dr. Waters decides is best....I am glad that everyone seems to be pleased with their results
