Anna - what you wrote about internal rotation / posterior dislocation is correct - or at least was correct in Maia's case.... the pain part too. Maia had tremendous pain that she vocalized from the time she became dislocated until last week when she started TES (41/2 months post surgery)... I think the TES is helping with that a great deal.

Thank you to everyone who has responded with the great ideas, I am going to try and get Jessica evaluated at Childrens soon. Especially about the dislocation thing- if I move her arm behind her back while she sleeps she does wake up in pain & I've noticed some change in her shoulder blade sticking out while she is washing her arms in front of her at bath time. Jessica is getting very frustrated about any ROMing & it's tough on everyone involved. I get internally upset when I see her try so hard to put her hand on her hip or do the chicken dance or hold her hands behind her back or even pull up her panties (she practicully puts her left -rbpi- arm all the way around her back to do this) well anyway, thanks again.
