Ulnar nerve graft

Post by cvedral »

Its been since Feb 15 since the surgery and no movement yet. I dont go to see the doctor again till the 19th of june but there's no activity in the muscles yet. Any hope left or was it a failure?

Charlie, there is always hope. You may not see or feel or notice a difference. Your doctor may be able to see things that we don't. Let us know how the appointment goes on the 19th.

If you don't mind my asking what doctor in Florida did your surgery? I live in the Orlando area and would be curious of a local doctor. By local I mean in the state of Florida! :-)

When they were looking at surgery for Dustin they told us it could be up to a year before we would see movement. So never give up hope!!!

Thanks for the words of encoragement but time is running out. How long can the muscles survive with no movement? Its been over a year for the ulnar nerve and july 23 two years since my race crash.
Mayo Dr's Wood and Murray in Jacksonville FL have taken care of me. They and all of Mayo are FANTASTIC! I feel so lucky to have been taken on by them.
