Dr. Nath

Post by Jake'smom »

I just had to share this bit of info. I emailed Dr. Nath yesterday at 2:30 pm. By the time I got home from work at 4:30-he had emailed me back and personally called my house and left a message. I was shocked to have him call himself. Anyways I'm going to make an appt. with him. I'm still not entirely comfortable with surgery for my child at this time, but I figure-I live in Houston and won't have to travel to see him-I have nothing to lose from seeing what he has to say.
Truthfully-I've been putting this off because I'm afraid of what he'll say. I know this visit is going to be very frightening for me. But I have to do this...and if he says Jacob needs surgery then I can always choose not to do it.
Just thought I'd share that. I was really surprised that a big-time doctor who sees patients from all over the country would make the time to call my house himself. It makes me feel a little more comfortable about going to see him.

Jake's Mom,
My son has been a patient of Dr. Nath's since he was 6 1/2 months old. he is now 7 1/2 !!! He has had two surgeries and is doing wonderful. I would offer this to you. Last August my son say Dr. Nath after not seeing him for 3 years....I feared that he would say that my son needed another surgery and I would be back to the decision making process again. To our surprise, he said, no more surgeries and that if we wanted to we could do something cosmetically, but if it were his son, he wouldn't do anything, that my son looked awesome. I was so relieved. My husband gave me the I told you so. Dr. Nath is remarkaable at returning phone calls and e-mails.....we love him !!!! Good Luck but you can think things over as long as you need to !!! Gayle mom of Brandon 7 1/2 old, ROBPI

WOW! That's pretty impressive. I emailed Dr. Nath about a month ago and still have not heard anything from him or his office staff. It is pretty discouraging. How did you get a hold of his attention? I emailed him directly through his web site, am I doing something wrong? I just assumed he wasn't interested.

Sarah
I have no idea. I emailed him from his website as well. I live in Houston...maybe that's why he got back so quickly. I don't know. Did you fill out the whole form? I was really surprised to hear from him directly at all. I thought maybe someone from his office would email me or something, but I never thought he'd actually call. Try again and hopefully you'll hear something this time. Maybe something on the computer messed up...who knows?

Sarah,
I have emailed Dr. Nath on a regular basis and have received a reply within a few hours if not the very next day. I left a message for him just the other day in his office and he called after his office hours. I would try again. Sometimes he doesn't get his messages by phone, but he personally checks his email. Do you have the correct email address? drnath@drnathmedical.com
Good luck.

I just wanted to agree - we see Dr. Nath as well and I have, on a number of occasions, emailed him and he has always replied very quickly.

I would also encourage Sarah to try again. I would assume that something hiccupped somewhere and your email didn't get to him.

I also hope you find comfort in the care that Dr. Nath will give your child. My 10 year old and I just returned from Houston from NJ. This was her 3rd surgery with Dr. Nath. I was truely impressed with his office staff when I visited his new clinic. Blessings to you and your family.
