Hello
If you're talking about Dr Nath who works in Maryland, I was originally refered to him. From what I've heard he's very good at treating less severe brachial plexus injuries. He was unable to do anything for me and referred me to The Mayo Clinic, who he said are the best in the country right now at the type of surgery I needed. I avulsed all five nerves and just went through surgery at Mayo. In my opinion they definately are the best. I had 4 surgeons working on me at the same time and the surgery lasted 10 hours. There's no way one or two surgeons could have done the same job. FYI the surgery I had at Mayo costs between $100,000 and $115,000. Hope this helps

Dr. Rahul Nath works in Houston, Texas. Maybe you are thinking about Dr. Belzburg in Maryland?

If you're referring to the Dr. Nath in Texas, my understanding is that he still has a "for profit" center. If you are pinching pennies, you'd be better looking into non-profit centers. Insurance companies prefer nonprofit centers, I'd imagine.

Mayo contact

The phone number for the Mayo surgeon team secretary is (507)538-1988. They're very friendly and would be able to answer any questions about billing.
