My 4yr old had caps/bicep lengthening done 9weeks ago and tolerated the procedure very well. The splint is straight out to the side at and he got around great. We had to keep turning the arm palm up a lot, but splinting was easy. The incision for the biceps is a z on the inside of the elbow. It was the most painful part of the whole procedure. They had to do brachiallus lengthening, too and that is a pretty deep muscle from what I understand so I'm sure that is why it hurt really bad. We are very pleased with the operation and Blake is really proud how straight his arm is and his internal rotation has significantly decreased, thus the arm looks much more natural. Hope I helped a little.I think there is a picture of a little one on injurednewborn on page 6 bottom of the page. (going from memory, so I could be mistaken) I know it is at the bottom of a page, though.
When is surgery? Good luck and feel free to email if you have any other questons.
