Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.

My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!

I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".

Finally! when I took this issue of Outreach to a Dr's appointment and gave it to her on Monday, it truly opened my Dr.s mind and she referred me to a PT who is supposed to be good in theraputic message. I will definitely pursue this before my trip to Ohio to see Dr. Nath.
This issue of Outreach also opened the minds of my aging siblings also. ...God is working on their hearts, that's not my job...
THANK YOU again, Nancy for you teriffic job with this Outreach.
Hugs all around!,

Carolyn,
How are you doing? Sounds like you have been busy. I just saw your post that you are going to see Dr. Nath. Are you looking into surgery? Just curious. I hope all is well. You looked great in the outreach magazine.

Hi Rachel @ Amy,
Thanks for the encouragement. I hope you 2 are doing OK at school this week. Rachel, I am just seeing Dr. Nath for a Consult to get specific information about my injuries..as injuries have NEVER been addresses or detailed as to what neverves, etc. Also I have 3-4 questions about my specific injury....Information only I guess is my goal. At age 67 I believe surgery is a non-goal for me. But, I'm going to start PT & massage as needed very soon. My Dr. was kinda surprfised at all the information in Outreach & I copied a few other information pieces. She's learning "NOW"!!
I'll keep youi informed of my progress thru pain relief...
HUGS all around,
