Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.

My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!

I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".

I got mine here in TX yesterday. Thank you to all who worked so hard. Thanks to all of those interviewed for their honesty and for sharing their lives with all of us. Thanks for including so many pictures, and for the valuable information in the magazine. Every time I get a new Outreach magazine I feel so proud of all of the families who are helping others by sharing a part of their own families and lives. So many are working so hard to stop this injury and help those who have already been injured to get the best help possible and not feel so alone. Also, after reading each Outreach I get a better picture of the many differences in all of the injuries, and realize the many similarities that are shared no matter how the injury occured or the severity - there is a bond. My daughter Brittney was very interested in the "Interviews of Moms with injuries" - something that I did not realize that she was concerned and curious about. My youngest daughter was so excited to see her face on one of the paper dolls from camp. (Top right corner) Sometimes I think she gets jealous of her sister's attention about her injury and she was so excited when she recognized her face in a picture.
Thanks again for working so hard on Outreach - it brings all of us closer,
Christy

I got my issue on Monday here in New Hampshire and I finally got to look through it today (Friday). I was wondering how I can get extra copies of the Outreach and of the pamplet that was included in it?
