Hello,
My husband was in an auto accident in Nov 2005. His injuries consisted of several broken ribs, his brachial artery having to be repaired because it had been cut, broken clavical, collapsed lungs. He is recoving from all the injuries. What is left is that all five of his nerves were damaged at his spine. He has no use of his left arm down to his hand. We were referred to Dr. Nath and also Dr. Garboui (spelling may be wrong). As you know Dr. Nath does nerve repair the other doctor does muscle transplants. Dr. Nath scheduled surgery for 1-20 of this year. My husband wants to go with Dr. Nath. What I am concerned about is how difficult is recovery from nerve transplants and nerve grafting? Is the surgery dangerous? Any information anyone has would be helpfull.

Zoe,
Dr. Nath did surgery on my son in Dec. 2004. He was 19 at the time. He did really good with his recovery, it was about three weeks, after we left the hospital and could start OT at four weeks. Just do excatly what the doctor orders.

Hey,
My wife Carrie has had surgeries from both Dr Nath and Dr Gharbaoui. Both are skilled and personable. Her recovery time for all of the surgeries progressed quickly, with physical therapy starting soon there after. Email me if you'd like more info. dcranch431@yahoo.com
